A new batch of Lada Aura arrived at the State Duma

On December 25, 17 cars were handed over to the deputies for use, writes the press service of the lower chamber. The Lada Aura, a “stretched” version of the Vesta with a luxury interior, will be used by the chairmen of State Duma committees and commissions, the report notes. They are already using previously delivered Lada Vesta cars.

Chairman of the Control Committee Oleg Morozov, Chairman of the Committee on Small and Medium Enterprises Alexander Demin, Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov, as well as Head of the Commission on Regulations and Operations Viktor Pinsky will drive the new Lada Aura.

So far, the Aura is sold only in the top version, called “Status”: it is distinguished from others by the trim of the seats with genuine leather, cushions on the rear headrests and heated seat backs.

You can choose a two-tone finish for the front panel and steering wheel. An advanced Enjoy Vision Pro media system with a 10-inch screen, eight speakers and Yandex Auto services is installed here. The price of this version is from 2,799,000 rubles. The Aura was also promised additional noise and vibration insulation, but a blogger recently discovered that AvtoVAZ decided to achieve better performance in a strange way.

All stretch sedans are equipped with a 1.8-liter engine producing 122 horsepower. It is paired with a variator.

The list of cars recommended for officials, in addition to AvtoVAZ products, includes Xcite, Moskvich, UAZ, Sollers, Evolute, Amberavto, Aurus and Citroen assembled in Kaluga. There are also purely Chinese cars that are assembled in Russia: Haval, Kaiyi, BAIC and SWM. In the summer, the Ministry of Industry and Trade added GAZelle to the list.
