According to the Rolf company, the main cost items for a car include fuel (about 150 thousand rubles per year), compulsory motor insurance policy (on average 10 thousand rubles), maintenance (25 thousand rubles) and other minor expenses. At the same time, the cost of driving on car sharing is on average 12.4 rubles per minute, which, with an average speed on Moscow highways of 47.6 kilometers per hour, will cost drivers 234.5 thousand rubles per year.

In the fall, experts calculated that about half of Moscow car owners use car sharing—47 percent of the capital’s motorists rent cars. Most often these are family men aged 40 with seven years of driving experience. They are attracted by the opportunity to leave the car at the point of arrival, as well as the fact that they do not have to pay for parking and maintain the car themselves.
