A racing sports prototype of BR Engineering was shown in Russia, which cannot be bought

TMK (Pipe Metallurgical Company) showed the car at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom in Yekaterinburg. A correspondent from Auto News of the Day got acquainted with the exposition.

“At the TMK stand, a prototype of the BR Engineering BR03 sports car is presented, which is positioned as the most modern and technologically advanced Russian racing car. According to company representatives, this is a “combat” copy of the car, which was removed immediately after the race and brought to the exhibition. Along with it, a safety cage made of pipes produced by TMK is demonstrated,” the publication says.

The company noted that the safety cage is made of pipes with a cross-section of 40 mm and a wall of 1.5 mm. It is these pipes that bear the main load, ensuring the rigidity of the structure during torsion and tension. TMK also reported that a special steel alloy was created for the project. Based on these pipes, the partner produced roll cages that are used in several racing cars.

The BR Engineering BR03 sports prototype accelerates to 310 km/h. Its dimensions: 4926x2000x1200 mm, base – 2800 mm. Weight – 850 kg (without pilot and liquids). Powerplant: 3.5-liter V6 with up to 420 hp. With.

As stated on the stand, BR03 was created by BR Engineering. This is the development of Russian engineers for participation in endurance racing, and the main part of the components is made in Russia.
