Mitsuoka began accepting applications for the M55 RS on April 24. The limited edition of the sports sedan will be 55 copies, each of which will cost the buyer 8,888,000 yen (approximately 4.3 million rubles).
The basis for this sedan was the Honda Civic RS. The car is driven by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of up to 180 horsepower, which is mated only to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The designers drew inspiration from the American Dodge Challenger. This is especially noticeable in the front part: a rectangular insert hides round headlights and a radiator grille with metal trim. The front bumper is smooth at the bottom, but is complemented by three small air intakes. The sides of the body, with the exception of the fenders, are completely identical to the Civic.
The rear of the M55 RS has been completely redesigned: now there are rounded lights, a massive wing and a high bumper. Inside, the changes are more local – the dashboard, multimedia, climate control unit and many other parts were taken directly from the donor. Mitsuoka added its own seats with leather upholstery and red stitching, and designed the manual lever in the appropriate style.
