A unique supercar with a fighter-style canopy was brought to Russia

According to Motor’s own information, the KTM X-Bow GT-XR has reached one of the capital’s collectors. This is an extreme spider, which was created as a track car, but after a number of modifications it received approval for public roads. A special version was brought to Russia in dark green with golden-yellow decor, contrasting wheels and calipers.

The KTM X-Bow GT-XR debuted in the fall of 2022. The manufacturer is the Austrian company KTM, known for motorcycles and sports cars with a karting philosophy. Comfort options are minimal: there is only power steering and air conditioning! In the cockpit there is a kingdom of carbon fiber, a formula-style steering wheel with a simple screen, and landing turns into a quest, because instead of doors there is a canopy in the spirit of fighter jets.

What distinguishes the X-Bow GT-XR from most traditional supercars is its dry weight of 1.1 tons, racing wheels with a single central nut, and adjustable shock absorbers. Under the hood is a modest five-cylinder Audi turbo engine (500 horsepower, 581 Nm), the thrust is transmitted to the rear axle through a 7-speed preselective “robot” from the VAG concern. There is a limited-slip differential, stability control and carbon-ceramic brakes.

At the time of accepting orders, the basic KTM X-Bow GT-XR cost about 300 thousand dollars, but the annual circulation is limited to 100 copies. There have not been such spiders in Russia until now. The release on public roads is expected in 2025, as other pieces from the collection periodically appear on the streets of Moscow.
