Alexander Lukashenko was shown a 542-horsepower Belarus tractor

In the Minsk region, the head of state was presented with an experimental model of the 5425 tractor produced by the Minsk Tractor Plant. This is an energy-rich wheeled vehicle with a power of 542 hp, equipped with a 6-cylinder Weichai WP14T diesel engine with a volume of 13.5 liters and a FullPowerShift 18/6 hydromechanical automatic transmission.

In the new model, almost 77% of the parts are products of MTZ, another almost 16% are from other enterprises of the republic, and 5.5% of the components were supplied by foreign manufacturers.

“We will assume that you have produced a spaceship. Look, don’t disgrace yourself with quality,” President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko addressed the tractor builders.

Belarus-5425 was first shown in June last year at the specialized exhibition “Belagro – 2025”. In December, the new product entered field testing.
