Almost two hundred Toyota Alphard minivans sold in Russia will be sent to service centers.

According to Rosstandart, Toyota Motor announced a response campaign in connection with a malfunction of the standard car molding of cars, which, under certain conditions, can lead to serious accidents on the roads. Employees of service centers will replace the defective element of the body for free.

Toyota experts revealed the shortcomings in the design of the molding fasteners to the hood. With temperature differences, the part can be deformed, as a result of which cracks are formed, which will lead to a weakening of fasteners. If you continue to exploit molding in a similar state, at some point it can break away from the hood while driving. The flying element can interfere with other vehicles, as well as provoke serious accidents.
