At the VII international transport festival “TransportFest”, the Minsk Bus Plant presented the articulated electric bus MAZ-305E, in the creation of which the Russian Itelma Group also took part. In the future, in addition to the electric one, the accordion will receive diesel and gas power plants.
MAZ calls the new product “super low-floor”, since the height of the step at the entrance is 32 cm. For most low-floor competitors, this figure is 34-36 cm.
The lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt battery was produced by Autonomous Energy Systems LLC (Itelma Group of Companies) and provides an autonomous range of at least 240 km.
As the manufacturer notes, this range allows the electric bus to be used throughout a work shift without intermediate recharging at final stops.

When creating the accordion bus, the company used an advanced push drive system, where the drive is the rear, rather than the middle, electric portal axle.
