The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, located in the northern part of South America, is of interest in terms of cooperation for AvtoVAZ. The Motor correspondent was told about this by the automaker’s press service. They did not rule out that it would be established with a local partner.
“We are interested in being present in this market, but we do not disclose details of communication with potential partners,” the company’s press service said in response to a request about plans to create an assembly plant in Venezuela for the production of Lada cars.
It was reported back in 2010 that AvtoVAZ plans to organize production of its cars in Venezuela. At that time, a protocol was signed on the joint development of a project for the assembly production of Lada cars. Negotiations were reported to continue, but a final statement was never finalized. Which models were planned to be assembled and in what volume is also unknown.
In 2025, AvtoVAZ exported 23 thousand cars abroad and launched deliveries to four export directions at once. These include Abkhazia, Egypt, Libya and Venezuela.
Earlier it was reported that UAZ could organize assembly in Pakistan.
