The factory began installation of robots, which will allow you to produce several models of bodies on one platform. That is, new equipment can be quickly reconfigured for different machines, the press service of the enterprise notes. Compared to lines that worked until 2022, production automation will be increased five times.

Welding equipment on each line of the previous generation was intended for the production of a particular model. Now the parameters can be quickly changed for welding of another type of body.

In addition to the installation of robots, Autotor strengthened the foundation for the main conductor and a robotic complex, installed new metal structures for suspended welding machines.

The welding line has already calibrated using a laser 3D scanning system and mounted the main elements of the main welding line.

Installation is planned to be completed by mid -February. The new complex will be able to produce 80 thousand bodies annually.

At the end of January, the production of a new frame SUV – BAIC BJ60 began at Avtotor. The model will be offered to Russians with a diesel engine and a “soft” hybrid technology. Prices, as well as the timing of the start of sales, have not yet been announced.
