Audi A8 will be similar to Porsche Panamera in the new generation

Sales of the new product will begin. Sales will begin in 2030. The model is available in both petrol versions and rechargeable hybrids (PHEV).

The transition to the MSB (Modularen Standardantriebsbaukasten) platform from Porsche is a strategic step. The next-generation A8 was initially expected to be electric. However, the decision to use a hybrid architecture with an internal combustion engine shows that Audi is extending the life of traditional engines for its largest sedan.

In Germany, the A8 (D5) model has already disappeared from the official Audi website. This means that the company has stopped accepting orders for it. The current A8 is expected to be fully produced by the end of this year. Thus, between the departure of the old model and the appearance of the new one, there is a pause of 3-4 years.

At the moment, the appearance of the new A8 is kept secret. Only amateur renderings have appeared online, which, according to experts, may be very different from the real design of the sedan. The manufacturer has not yet released official images.

Previously, two Jeland crossovers were certified in Russia.
