Aurus Senat has become more expensive in Russia: there are no new cars in stock

Classified listings have updated advertisements for the sale of sedans produced in 2024. Over ten months, the starting price increased from 41 to 47.5 million rubles, or almost 16%. However, Aurus Senats are not available without mileage: they must be ordered. But in Moscow and St. Petersburg, used sedans from 2021-2023 are available with mileages from 6.5 to 94.3 thousand kilometers.

Aurus Senat has increased in price following the Komendant crossover. In theory, you can order any version: for 47.5 million rubles the car will be in the initial configuration, for 50 million rubles – in a two-tone version, and for 92 million rubles an armored version is available. The timing of the order is not specified.

In the first half of the year, the share of individuals in the total sales of Aurus Senat was five percent, and a total of 40 sedans were registered, of which 32 were manufactured in 2023. Thus, several cars are produced monthly for ordinary customers in Moscow and Yelabuga, and the main customer is government agencies. For example, updated sedans are being made for the Federal Security Service, which will go on sale no earlier than the end of 2025.

The original plan involved the production of Auruses at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg, but the Chinese partner refused to negotiate. Insiders suggested that they wanted to assemble premium Hongqi cars from the FAW concern under the Aurus brand, but in the end sanctions prevented cooperation.
