Auto expert Khlebushkin listed 20 serious shortcomings of the Geely Monjaro crossover

Most of the complaints are about electronics and the quality of interior equipment. This is the most “capricious” part of the car.

So, according to Behind the Wheel expert Ilya Khlebushkin, the media system can live its own life, unpredictably slowing down and losing connection with the phone. The parking sensors, rain sensors, fuel level and tire pressure sensors, as well as power windows and a rear view camera, malfunction. In the cabin, seat heating may suddenly fail, and the heater radiator and air conditioning clutch sometimes require attention already in the early runs.

The body, despite good general anti-corrosion protection, has vulnerabilities. The paintwork is thin and easily chipped, and after several winters, traces of corrosion may appear on the side members and bottom. Decor quickly fades, door lock cables can freeze in cold weather, and the windshield is famous for its fragility.

The 2.0-liter engine, although it has a service life of about 250 thousand kilometers, requires close attention. It is prone to the formation of carbon deposits on valves and oil leaks through oil seals up to a mileage of 100 thousand kilometers. An electric pump is not considered the most reliable part, and its failure is almost guaranteed to lead to overheating, which is critical for the motor.

The chassis also has its pain points. Silent blocks and wheel bearings live on average 120 thousand kilometers, and stabilizer struts even less. Brake pads are soft and wear out quickly, unevenly. The steering rack and generator may require attention after 30-40 thousand kilometers.
