In Russia, this front-wheel drive crossover is produced at the Moskvich plant under the domestic brand. From the very start of production, two versions are available: with a 1.5 engine and a robotic gearbox, as well as with a 2.0 engine and a classic automatic transmission. This is reported by the expert of the magazine “Behind the Wheel” Kirill Mileshkin.
“A new product from the Moskvich brand is a crossover with the M70 index. In the original, this is MG HS, that is, this is Moskvich’s new partner, not JAC, but the Chinese concern SAIC. Well, the MG brand itself was once British, but has long been under Chinese ownership. Length 4.66 meters, wheelbase – 2.77 meters, mid-size crossover. Under the hood is a 1.5 turbo with 150 horsepower with a preselective robot or two liters of turbo, exactly 200 horsepower. That is, both engines are tax beneficial,” the expert noted.
According to Mileshkin, the two-liter engine is coupled with a classic nine-speed ZF automatic transmission. For now, the crossover is available only with front-wheel drive, but soon they promise an all-wheel drive version, adapted specifically for Russia. Prices start from 3.1 million rubles for the basic configuration and reach 3.5 million rubles for the top-end configuration.
