Auto expert Zinoviev listed 5 critical problems of the Kia Cerato sedan

The car was produced from 2018 to 2025. This is a C-class car with a length of 4640 mm, a direct relative of the Kia Ceed hatchback.

The main disadvantage is the high cost. Despite its Kaliningrad registration, prices for Cerato on the secondary market are very close to the prices of competing cars with similar equipment, which reduces its consumer appeal, said Sergei Zinoviev, an expert at Za Rulem magazine.

The declared ground clearance of 150 mm is a purely “asphalt” indicator. Cerato owners have to be extremely careful when parking at curbs, as well as when driving on dirt roads.

Engines of the G4FG 1.6 (128 hp) and G4NA 2.0 (150 hp) series are a time-tested range, but not without sin. Both engines are naturally aspirated, with aluminum blocks and a timing chain drive, run on AI-92 and have distributed injection. However, the main problem is the tendency for the cylinders to scuff.

Questions regarding the neutralizer resource remain relevant. On many cars it begins to “crumble” already at 80-100 thousand kilometers. Bad fuel speeds up this process, so you need to monitor the condition of the unit very carefully.

In addition, Kia Cerato owners complain en masse about poor sound insulation of the arches.
