The most inexpensive in terms of maintenance costs are mass-produced Chinese cars, for which the cost of a standard hour of work is 2-3 thousand rubles. Roman Timashov, Deputy General Director of the Avtodom group of companies, told Motor magazine about this.
According to him, for premium Chinese brands this figure is about 4 thousand rubles per standard hour.
“The cost of a standard hour for mass Chinese brands at official dealers now ranges from 2 thousand rubles to 3 thousand rubles. These brands include Geely, Jaecoo, Jetour, GAC, Changan, Belgee and Omoda. “Leaving” mass brands are approximately in this range, although discount programs are actively used to retain customers and the cost of a standard hour is even more attractive than for guaranteed Chinese cars (-10%),” Timashov said.
According to him, for premium Chinese brands the cost of a standard hour is higher and on average reaches 4 thousand rubles. We are talking about such auto companies as Lixiang, Link&Co and Zeekr. As for the premium brands that left Russia – Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, the cost of standard hours and service in general is even higher: from 5 thousand rubles, Avtodom emphasized.
Timashov also noted that over the past five years the situation in the service market has changed significantly. The share of Chinese brands is growing steadily. According to subjective estimates, now from 20% to 50% of the load on service stations falls on them.
