A large-scale service campaign in the UK will affect approximately 7.5 thousand cars. This represents about 26% of all brand cars sold on the British market in 2025.
The recall was caused by a defect in the wiring harness connected to the electronic control unit (ECU). According to the European Safety Gate warning system, in some vehicles the harness was not installed correctly. This may result in warning lights appearing on the instrument panel and, in some cases, sudden engine shutdown.
The recall affects Jaecoo 7 1.6 TGi petrol vehicles manufactured between April and December 2025. The version with a hybrid power plant was not affected by any problems. It is noteworthy that there are no plans to recall the Omoda 5 model, which uses the same engine.
Jaecoo representatives assured that all owners of potentially problematic vehicles will be notified through official dealerships and CRM systems. They are provided with free car inspections and repairs.
Earlier it was reported that Omoda C5 and C7 received the right to sell in the Russian Federation under the Jeland brand.
