Automotive of the Russian Federation and Belarus will reach the level of Mercedes-Benz in a few years

This was announced in an interview with the Russian television and radio company “Mir” by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The head of the country believes that Russian experts have the necessary skills in order to produce competitive vehicles.

Lukashenko said that Russia and Belarus have the necessary raw materials and technologies for the production of modern cars. At the same time, both countries need to continue to work on import substitution of foreign components, as well as increase the level of technological sovereignty. According to Lukashenko, after 3-4 years, the production of a union state will be able to surpass the quality of Mercedes-Benz.
