The manufacturer of the restyled Omoda C5 crossovers is AGK LLC, reports Autoreview. It is clarified that since February, the AGR plant in Kaluga has been producing cars with welded and painted bodies. This made it possible to reduce the cost of the model.
Local assembly is associated with a limited color range: at first, black, white and gray cars will be available, later red and silver ones will appear, moreover, the paint at the plant in Kaluga differs from the Chinese one in a thicker layer.
Galvanization is present on all external panels except the roof and bottom. In addition, the production chain also includes additional anti-corrosive treatment of hidden cavities.
The dimensions of the updated Omoda C5 are 4545 mm in length, 1824 mm in width and 1588 mm in height. The design of the crossover is made in the style of the flagship C7 model.
Thus, the front LED headlights acquired more dynamic shapes, and the rear ones received a signature lightning bolt pattern.
The model retained its recognizable silhouette with a “floating” roof, but acquired an “aggressive” rear bumper, new wheels and aerodynamic mirrors.
