Avtostat named the most popular crossovers by Russians

According to the Autostat agency, 104,278 new passenger cars were sold last March, which is 30.6% more than a year earlier. At the same time, these agencies, in addition to officially presented vehicles, also take into account equipment supplied through the parallel import system.

The three most popular crossovers included Haval Jolion (5547 units), Tenet T7 (5480 units) and Tenet T4 (3840 units). At the same time, Haval Jolion and Tenet T7 took second and third places in the list of the most popular models on the Russian market, ahead of Lada Vesta, but behind Lada Granta.

The top most popular SUVs were Haval M6 (3114 units), Belgee X50 (2780 units) and Geely Monjaro (2631 units). At the same time, the Russians were in a hurry to import the Geely Monjaro into the country, since on April 1 the Ministry of Industry and Trade planned to introduce a unified formula for calculating the recycling fee for cars imported from the EAEU countries.

However, the ministry lifted the initial deadline, leaving the market in limbo – the barrier could be lowered at any time. And this caused a revival of supplies through the parallel import system.
