AvtoVAZ estimated the cost of production modernization

During the period of planned paid corporate leave (from May 1 to May 13), AvtoVAZ will carry out a large-scale complex of works to install new technological equipment necessary to launch production of the Lada Azimut crossover. In addition, the company is modernizing the assembly line of the Lada Niva family, as well as organizing routine repairs and maintenance of production systems.

In total, it is planned to carry out over 15 thousand works with a total capacity of 110 thousand man-days, and the total budget for activities will exceed 530 million rubles.

These tasks include commissioning of machining centers at engine production, where new engines with a volume of 1.6 (more than 120 hp) and 1.8 (more than 130 hp) liters will be produced.

For the successful completion of all planned activities, it was decided to postpone two days of the December unified corporate vacation (December 29-30) to May 12-13.

Let us remind you that Lada Azimut is a completely new compact crossover (B-SUV segment), which will be the first completely original model in this class from a Russian automaker.
