AvtoVAZ: Lada Iskra will not receive a 1.8-liter engine

Information has appeared in the press that the Lada Iskra will receive a 1.8-liter engine; According to rumors, dealers already have prices for such a configuration. The press service of AvtoVAZ commented on this information to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“The origin of the document referred to by the media is unclear, but there are no plans for a 1.8-liter engine for the Lada Iskra,” the company said.

Lada Iskra is available at prices ranging from 1.28 million rubles (basic sedan) to 1.85 million rubles (top version SW Cross). The model is equipped with 1.6-liter engines: 8-valve (90 hp) with a 5-speed manual transmission or 16-valve (106 hp) paired with a Chinese 6-speed manual or CVT.
