AvtoVAZ recorded a drop in car sales in February

In the last month of winter, the Russians bought 26,716 new Lada-this is four percent less than in February 2024, but 28.4 percent more than in January 2025. The press service of AvtoVAZ emphasized that although the indicators decreased in an annual comparison, they are much better than the dynamics of the Russian car market as a whole, which, according to the automaker, collapsed by a quarter in February.

AvtoVAZ is divided by statistics on the sales of each model separately. So, in February, Lada Granta parted in the amount of 9602 copies, which exceeds the result of January of the same year by 15.2 percent. For comparison: in February 2024, sales of the model amounted to 12,798 pieces.

The buyer stopped his choice at the end of winter at the end of winter. This model demonstrated the best dynamics among other brand cars: an increase of 38.9 percent compared to January 2025 and +26.1 percent relative to February 2024. Largus, the production of which resumed last year, completed February with an indicator of 2019 universals sold and 647 vans.

Demand for commercial LADA cars in annual terms increased almost three times, reaching 1304 units (+123.7 percent by January 2025).

If we talk about the results of February last year, then AvtoVAZ managed to sell 27,888 cars, which is 33.9 percent more than in January.
