This model was officially sold here from 2011 to 2019. Five-door hatchbacks – 44% of cars are used. The rest are sedans (34%) and station wagons (22%). There are many good examples, sometimes they are even cheaper than well-preserved Focus 2. But their liquidity is average – they do not sell so quickly.

Problems arise primarily due to the PowerShift robotic gearbox (Getrag 6DCT250 with dry clutches), which was installed on about half of the cars, reports Za Rulem.

Owners complain about jerking and jerking when starting and switching, especially in traffic jams, rapid wear of the clutch and failure of the TCM control unit – sometimes the entire robot had to be changed at 60-100 thousand kilometers.

After restyling, the box was modified, but the risk of problems remained, so experts advise avoiding versions with PowerShift and choosing mechanics.

Another common problem is the steering rack, a knocking sound in which appears at different mileage: sometimes up to 50 thousand kilometers.

Stabilizer struts also wear out quickly, on turbo engines problems with fuel injection pumps and injectors are possible, and the generator usually lives 150-200 thousand kilometers.

The body is galvanized and has good corrosion resistance, but the paintwork is thin – chips and scratches quickly appear.

The cabin in the second row is cramped: the shoulders of three adults are uncomfortable, and tall passengers rest their knees on the front seats.

The rated ground clearance is 150 mm, but under load it’s actually about 135-140 mm, so in winter it’s easy to hit an obstacle at intersections. To top it all off, crickets appear in the cabin already in the first year of operation, they said in “Behind the Wheel”.
