Belarusian Brestmash will begin to produce an analogue of the Russian Evolute I-Van

A minivan will stand on the conveyor of the plant in Brest, repeating the I-Van of the Russian Evolute brand, but not with an electric power plant, but with a gasoline engine, writes Av.by. The Chinese model of Dongfeng Forthing Lingzhi will be based, which, in turn, is a modernized version of Mitsubishi Space Gear IV of the 90s (also known as Delica).

Brestmash, owned by the Minsk Automobile Plant, will produce minivans under the BMG brand. In China, the original Forthing Lingzhi has two fuel versions: one is equipped with a 1,6-liter engine with a capacity of 122 horsepower, and the second-a two-liter for 133 forces. The gearbox in both cases is mechanical.

The Russians Forthing Lingzhi are familiar thanks to the Evolute brand. At the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region, an electrical version of this model is produced. The Evolute I-Van 122-horsepower electric motor for permanent magnets and a battery with a capacity of 67.5 kilowatt-hours, one charge of which is enough for 400 kilometers of the path. As of the end of February I-Van costs 2,995,000 rubles, taking into account the state subsidy in the amount of 925 thousand rubles.

The electric version was also considered for the BMG Belarusian minivan: at the end of last year, the Brest Plant showed a prototype of the minivan with such a power plant. However, according to the AV publication, the enterprise refused the electrical modification, relying on a more affordable fuel option. Gasoline cars will be produced both in the passenger version for seven seats and in trucks. In the future, the BMG lineup will expand, but there are no details about this yet.

Meanwhile, under the BMG brand in the Republic of Belarus, Gazelle NN and Jac Sunray (Sollers Atlant) are already being produced and sold.
