Bentley showed an exclusive Flying Spur dedicated to the panda

The Autohome portal got acquainted with the outgoing generation of the sedan as interpreted by Mulliner. The special version of Panda was delivered to a dealer in Chengdu, and this is no coincidence: it is in this city that a base for breeding giant pandas has existed for 35 years. From the outside, this Flying Spur is distinguished by a label on the rear pillar, but inside the cabin there are touching embroideries on the seats and a print on the front panel.

For some reason, Bentley refrained from taking professional photographs, and in the haze of Chengdu, the deep sapphire color of the exterior is difficult to capture. The dark blue interior with white inserts will also sparkle with new colors in sunny weather: on a cloudy day the trim appears black. The panda icon is not just painted, but imprinted into the multi-layered wooden part of the insert.

Outside of China, you can already order the new Bentley Flying Spur hybrid, so they didn’t want to modify the outgoing generation sedan. Under the hood is a traditional 4.0-liter V8 (550 horsepower, 770 Nm), and they didn’t even emphasize that it belongs to the Mulliner series with chrome wheels and a special style of air intakes.

The price of the exclusive Flying Spur Panda Edition has not been specified, but a regular sedan from Mulliner in China costs about 3.8 million yuan ($520 thousand). At the end of summer, Bentley made a similar Continental GT coupe for the Middle Kingdom with pale green decor and identical panda designs.
