Chinese MG showed a sedan similar to Porsche

The new model, designated 07, has a length of 4886 mm, a width of 1900 mm, a height of 1485 mm with a wheelbase of 2825 mm. With its silhouette and body design, the new product is reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan, notes CarNewsChina. Hybrid and electric versions will go on sale, the exact characteristics of which will be revealed later.

The project will be based on the Momenta R7 electrified architecture developed by SAIC, which is the company’s most recent development. The platform has an advanced autonomous driving system. The latter is said to drive the car no worse than an experienced driver.

Insiders specify that the electric modification will be equipped with one motor with a capacity of 239 hp. In the hybrid version, the engine will produce 207 hp, and a 1.5-liter turbo engine will act as a “stroke extender” (that is, an on-board generator).
