The model will fill the gap in the lineup between the LS7 and the flagship LS9, revealed in late 2025. Autoreview reports this.
As can be seen in the official images, a lidar is located above the windshield of the new product, which indicates the presence of an advanced autonomous driving system. The crossover will be offered in five-seat or three-row six-seat versions. The interior, judging by the photo, will inherit from the LS9 a panel with a large 27.1-inch screen. The list of options will include power side steps.
The power plant is a Stellar Super Extended Range hybrid system with a 1.5 turbo engine (155 hp) and dual-motor all-wheel drive with a power of 530 hp. Two battery options will be available: 52.1 kWh (electric range 268 km) and 65.9 kWh (335 km). According to press reports, the LS8 may also receive a more affordable rear-wheel drive version with 313 hp, but it has not yet been certified.
The IM LS8 is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2026. Its price is likely to be lower than that of the flagship LS9, which in China costs from 333 to 363 thousand yuan (from 3.6 to 3.9 million rubles).
