Compiled a rating of popularity of unofficial brands

It got those brands whose cars are unofficially sold in Russia – today it is all of Europe, South Korea and Japan. However, the first place in 2024 was still taken by the Chinese brand-Li Xiang.

Over the past three years, most Japanese, Korean and European brands have left the Russian automobile market. Cars, of course, continue to carry in parallel imports, but the prices and volumes are not the same. In order to find out how things are going on in the “unofficial” market segment, the “motor” turned to open statistics, analyzed sales for the past 2024 and compiled a rating of bestsellers.

So, in fifth place with a result of 11,776 cars was BMW. Sales relative to 2023 grew by a third, and in the list of best -selling models, the names are completely familiar: X5 (2838), X7 (2020), X6 (1634), X3 (1235) and 5 Series (966). Even better things go with Hyundai: 14,746 cars sold. The leaders have Tucson crossovers (7023), Santa Fe (1570), Palisade (1306) and, unexpectedly, Elantra sedan (3092).

The third place in 2024 was taken by KIA – 16,798 cars. Bessellers: Sportage (4882), Seltos (4290), Sorento (1518), Soul (1351), Mohave (803) and the K5 Business Setan (1333). On the second line – Toyota, which is best sold RAV4 (5281) and Camry (5848). However, they buy Land Cruiser 300 (2284), Land Cruiser Prado (1604) and Corolla (1404).

Finally, the first place in the LI Xiang, which completed the year with a result of 23,219 cars. At the same time, the brand in Russia has neither an official importer nor a representative office – it seems, only a word of mouth works. The best -sized L7 medium -sized crossover was the best -selling model, L9 on the second line, on the third – L6.
