Drom: Lada and Toyota models became the most popular used cars

As RIA Novosti was told in Droma, in the first half of the year Russians most often bought used cars of three Lada models and two Toyota models. They topped the ranking of popular used cars.

“By brands, the top 3 looks like this: Toyota, Lada and Nissan. Separately, the top 5 models are: “Lada Priora”, “Lada Granta”, “Lada 2114 Samara”, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry,” the interlocutor said.

Sales growth for the first half of the year was 5% for Lada Priora and 13% for Toyota Corolla. Among cars of specific production years, the first place was taken by Priora 2008, and among foreign cars – Ford Focus 2008. The most popular Corolla is 2001, but its sales are 3 times less than those of Priora, and 41% less than those of Focus. However, the Corolla came out on top thanks to its wide range of model years.

Droma also noted that Japanese models traditionally lead in the Far East – Honda Fit, Toyota Corolla Fielder and Toyota Corolla. In Siberia, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry and Lada Priora are in greatest demand. In the Urals and southern regions of Russia, the Lada Priora and Lada Granta became the most popular. Third place in the Urals was taken by the Lada 2114 (Samara), and in the south – by the “seven”.
