In January 2025, the Russians bought only 652 electric cars, which is 56 percent less than it was realized in the same month of 2024 (more than 1.48 thousand pieces). The share of electric cars in the Russian market in the first month of the year amounted to 0.6 percent, while at the beginning of 2024 this figure was 1.9 percent.
The leader of the “electric” segment in January was the Chinese Zeekr-this brand in Russia still does not have representative offices, and cars come to us semi-official. The Russians bought 283 such “gray” electric cars in a month.
The second place in terms of sales was taken by Moskvich, who sold 60 Moskvich 3e electric crossovers, this is the only “green” model in the current line of the revived brand. Well, closed the first three Evolute with a result of 40 cars sold. The TOP-5 also got Ora (37 pcs.) And BYD (36 pcs.). And if the first is officially sold with us, then the second, like Zeekr, has no representative offices in Russia.

It is worth noting that for the entire 2024, Russia sold a record number of electric vehicles – 17,805 pieces, which exceeds the result of 2023 by 26.4 percent. At the same time, growth rates in the segment slowed down, and the share of electric carriers decreased from 1.3 percent in 2023 to 1.1 percent in 2024.
