F1 racer Felipe Massa’s LaFerrari sports car to be auctioned for $5 million

According to Carscoops, the auction house RM Sotheby’s will sell the car. They want to get approximately $6 million for the car.

Felipe Massa competed for Ferrari in Formula 1 for eight years (from 2006 to 2013). Shortly after leaving the team, he received the keys to one of the 499 LaFerrari hypercars ever built by the Italian brand. Ferrari allowed the driver to choose his own design – the car is painted in Nero Black with red Rosso Corsa stripes on the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser.

The hypercar also features a special plaque between the seats that reads “Grazie Felipe” (Thank you Felipe) and the signature of then Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo. Massa himself signed the carbon fiber dashboard.

Massa owned the car from 2014 to 2021 until it was purchased by a Danish collector. The mileage of the hypercar is less than 4 thousand kilometers, and the last service took place in Denmark. For comparison, the recently sold LaFerrari, which belonged to singer Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) and had 11 thousand kilometers. kilometers, went under the hammer for about $5.81 million.

It was previously reported that in Kazakhstan the premium relative of the Geely Monjaro will cost 3.4 million rubles.
