FAW starts sales of an inexpensive Xiaoma electric car in Belarus

The novelty is focused on city operation and costs about 660 thousand in terms of Russian rubles. The electric car FAW Bestune Xiaoma received a two-door body and the two-plus two layout, as well as a lithium-fosphate battery. Depending on the battery capacity, the range is from 170 to 222 kilometers. The model is equipped with a 27-horsepower electric motor and accelerated to 100 kilometers per hour.

A new compact electric car FAW Bestune Xiaoma, designed for urban driving, entered the Belarusian market. The cost of the model is not more than 25 thousand Belarusian rubles, which is equivalent to about 660 thousand Russian rubles. The size of the Xiaoma is only 3,000 millimeters – the car is even shorter than the legendary Oka. At the same time, up to four people can accommodate in the cabin, albeit with certain compromises in space.

FAW Bestune Xiaoma is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 27 horsepower, produced by the Chinese company Shuanglin. The maximum speed is limited to 100 kilometers per hour. The power plant is based on lithium-foxfate battery. Depending on the selected battery capacity, the electric car is able to overcome from 170 to 222 kilometers on one charge. All this makes the model potentially attractive for short trips in the city.

In mid-May, the Russian press service of the Bestune brand confirmed the interest in withdrawing Yueyi brand electrified cars to the market. Previously, only rumors went about the possible appearance of these models in the Russian market. According to Avtostat, the launch of two models is now being considered: the fully electric Yueyi 03 and the hybrid Yueyi 07. So far, the terms of supply and specifications for the Russian market are disclosed.
