“Fighted” versions of Hyundai models will receive N Sport nameplate

The Drive edition drew attention to the patent application submitted by the South Korean automaker in the United States: the security document was issued for the N Sport trademark and the corresponding logo. According to journalists, N Sport will take a niche between the two already existing “sports” brand rulers, n (cars with forced engines) and N Line – a sports decor and, in some cases, a reconfigurated suspension.

The Drive draws an analogy with the BMW, in the arsenal of which there is both a line of cars from a division M and two sports series M Sport and M Performance. Apparently, Hyundai: N, N Sport and N Line will have the same approach. There are no details about the differences between N Sport cars yet, but it is logical to assume that they will differ not only in a “sports” body kit, since for this the Korean brand already has a sports package N Line. So far, it is only known that the N Sport trademark is registered according to a wide list of categories, from cars and motorcycles to spare parts.

As for the N Sport logo, it is very similar to N Line. The silver letter N has a substrate in two colors, black and red, and the word Sport is written in italics on a black background. Journalists clarify that the application for a patent in the United States is still under consideration, while in South Korea, Hyundai has owned this trademark since 2018.

Earlier it was reported that the Hyundai plans include the serial version of the conceptual retrock N Vision 74 2022. According to rumors, the design for the “commodity” sports car will be developed by Fabrizio Jujaro, son of Georgetto Jujaro. Probably ready for serial production N Vision 74 will be completely electric, while the concept had a complex installation – the rear wheels set two electric motors with a total capacity of 680 horsepower, and a hydrogen electrochemical generator for 129 forces was installed in front.
