According to official figures, in the first two months of 2025, the supply of cars from the PRC to our country was reduced almost halved – to 57,592 vehicles. In this regard, Russia missed Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, to which the Chinese sent 85,997 and 71,418 cars, respectively.

Last year, the Russian car market has demonstrated record sales over the past five years. At the same time, the vast majority of the machines sold were on Chinese models. Now, the PRC decided to reduce the volume of supply of vehicles in connection with an increase in the recycling fee and a high interest rate. In addition, Chinese manufacturers decided to see if foreign brands would return to Russia.
