Ford began accepting orders for the updated Capri cross-coupe

The European division of Ford announced the modernization of the electric cross-coupe Capri. The model, revived in 2024, received a faster engine and an increased power reserve in the basic version. Accepting orders for the updated electric car has already started.

The technical characteristics of the basic version of the Ford Capri have improved: power has increased from 170 to 190 hp, torque from 310 to 350 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h was reduced by 0.7 seconds (from 8.7 to 8.0 s).

The updated Ford Capri received a more capacious traction battery – its volume increased from 52 to 58 kilowatt-hours. The manufacturer emphasizes that this is a modern lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Thanks to this, the maximum range has increased by 71 kilometers and is now 464 km.

The functionality of electronic assistants has also expanded: the system recognizes traffic lights, can park independently, remembering up to 50 meters of the route, and monitors the driver’s condition. For ease of control, a one-pedal riding mode has been added, and the traction battery can now be used as a power source for external devices (V2L). The updated interface of the SYNC multimedia system, which is displayed on a 14.6-inch display, completes the picture.
