Foreign cars will grow in price due to increase in utilsbor in Belarus

Such a forecast was given by Izvestia, the managing director of Frank Auto Irina Frank. In a neighboring country, they decided to equate the rates of the utilization fee to Russian, which increased from January 1 of this year. This will inevitably lead to the rise in the cost of “gray” foreign cars imported into Russia through Belarus. According to Frank, prices can increase by 3-15 percent.

Previously, the difference in the rates of the utilization fee allowed the Russians to save: carrying cars through Belarus was cheaper than buying in Russia. Now the difference is leveling, which will lead to a rise in price “to the level of official dealers,” Frank noted.

New foreign cars of the premium segment, which are carried through Belarus, will increase in price by 5-15 percent, the expert predicts. Mass models imitate 3-8 percent.

New Volkswagen Golf appeared in Russia again in Russia, utilsbor for electric cars, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, could again change the Utilsbor bets: the project is ready

As a result, the volume of parallel imports through a neighboring country will decrease. More recently, about 10-15 percent of new foreign cars were imported into Russia this way. After adjusting the rates, the flow will be reduced to 2-5 percent.

In 2024, Utilsbor brought a record amount to Russia’s budget – more than a trillion of rubles. This is almost twice as much as in 2023.
