FoxConn, producing the iPhone, agrees on partnership with Mitsubishi

Taiwanese Foxconn, a giant in the consumer electronics market, expands the field of activity – it is negotiating with two automakers at once on a possible strategic partnership. According to Nikkei Asia, Foxconn may agree on cooperation with Nissan or Mitsubishi. Moreover, the transaction from the latter has been discussing for more than six months: Foxconn and Mitsubishi can create a joint project to produce electric vehicles.

Nikkei Asia claims that Foxconn and Mitsubishi are currently at the final stage of strategic partnership negotiations. For FoxConn, which produces iPhones, Xiaomi smartphones and other gadgets, such cooperation will strengthen the electric vehicles, and for Mitsubishi will open access to new technologies from the world of it. So far, the parties officially officially comment on negotiations, but analysts note that the success of the transaction can be a turning point for Foxconn, striving to reduce dependence on the consumer electronics market.
