GAC released the characteristics of its first sedan for Russia

The Russian premiere is being prepared for the Empow model-the future competitor of Changan Uni-V, Cherizo 8 and Geely Emgrand. A few days earlier it became known that the novelty would be offered in two versions: classic GS and conditionally sporting GL. Now the GAC reveals the characteristics: the Empow will be available in Russia with a gasoline “turbocharging” in conjunction with a seven -speed “robot”.

The engine develops 170 horsepower and 250 nm of torque (in China – 270 nm). He has a direct injection, low -indigenous turbo compressor and intercooler with liquid cooling. GAS states that the engine has one of the highest thermal efficiency in the class among serial engines equal to 40.28 percent. The efficiency of transmission, in turn, is 96 percent, and the gear shift takes 0.2 seconds.

Dynamic characteristics are given: from a place to 100 kilometers per hour, Empow accelerates in 6.95 seconds. Fuel consumption in a mixed cycle is 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

For the sedan, a system for selecting traffic modes with five presents is declared. In addition to standard ECO, Comfort and Sport, two specialized modes are available: Sport+, in which the maximum performance of the power unit is activated, and DIY with personal settings. Depending on the selected mode, the response to press the accelerator pedal, the transfers algorithm, the level of effort on the steering wheel, as well as the settings of the stabilization system. Each mode has its own graphics of the dashboard, you can configure the sound of the exhaust system.

In the “base”, the model is equipped with LED headlights, air conditioning, non-clock access to the salon, two airbags, a seven-inch digital panel of devices and a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch display, as well as support for Apple Carplay.

In the TOP, the tidy is already 10.25-inch, there is a two-zone climate control, Yamaha audio system with eight speakers, heating all seats, six eirbegs and a complex of intellectual ADAS ACTIONAL SUPPLESS SYSTEMS. The latter includes adaptive cruise control with the function of holding a car in a strip and an assistant movement in traffic jams, an automatic emergency braking system, recognition of road signs, an intellectual system for controlling high light and monitoring of blind areas.
