GAC will bring a competitor to Russia Geely Atlas

The press service of the Chinese brand spoke about their fifth model for the Russian market-the GS4 crossover, the start of sales of which is scheduled for March this year. The novelty will be offered with a non -alternative power unit consisting of a one and a half -liter gasoline turbo engine and a seven -speed robot. The GS4 drive is exclusively front. At the start of sales, the crossover will be available in the only but richly equipped configuration.

GAC GS4 is a classmate Geely Atlas, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Changan CS75 Plus. The model is based on the GPMA modular platform, and it itself is a simplified version of another GAC, Emkoo sample of 2022 – with it the GS4 is an end of the chassis, body, salon and units. Under the hood, the novelty is a 1.5 -liter turbo engine, which was deformated for Russia from 177 to 170 horsepower. The gearbox is a seven -speed “robot” with two clutches of a “wet” type, the front drive, while the listed classmates have a full -wheel drive modification.

For the GS4, the specification for the Russian market has been declared a system for selecting traffic modes with four presents: ECO, Comfort, Sport and personal settings. Depending on the selected mode, the parameters of the engine, steering and assistance system when passing the AVDC turns are changed. Separately, GAC notes that the GS4 was tested for stability to through corrosion, which are carried out within 960 hours.

The list of equipment of the only configuration includes a seven-inch digital “Device”, a 10.1-inch screen of a multimedia system with full Russification, climate control, support of Apple Carplay, four USB-sketches and wireless charging. In addition, the crossover is equipped with a circular review cameras, rear parking sensors, an electric control of the driver’s seat in six directions and the front passenger – in four. Eight airbags and a complete “winter” package of heating were declared.

Of the electronic assistants, adaptive cruise control with the function of retaining in the strip, a system of help in traffic jams, a system of automatic emergency braking, recognition of road signs and an intellectual system for control of high light are listed.

The Russians will be offered a choice of four body colors (black, silver, gray and white) and from three options for decoration of the cabin: beige, brown and black. The interior decoration is made of leather. The cost of the GAC GS4 will be announced closer to launch.
