“Gazeta.Ru” named the cost of the diesel UAZ “Profi”

In 2016, the management of Sollers decided to curtail the production of ZMZ-514 diesel engines, since it was considered inappropriate to bring the unit to promising Euro-5 econorms. Now Sollers makes completely different engines: at the former Ford engine plant (Elabuga), the production of Chinese engines of various sizes has been established.

The two-liter engine, originally developed by JAC, produces 136 hp. maximum power and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission manufactured by Sollers PT LLC.

So far, the rear-wheel drive modification has been issued, but all-wheel drive vehicles should be certified soon. As Gazeta.Ru reports, the simplest version of the new product – with rear-wheel drive, an onboard platform and a single-row cabin – costs 2.35 million rubles.

At the same time, UAZ changed its mind about equipping its cars with modern filling. The company believes that gas-electric filling is not yet very relevant for the Russian consumer.
