Geely has created a 6-cylinder engine with 544 horsepower

The Geely Auto Group presented a hybrid powertrain based on the new Horse W30 V-shaped petrol 6-cylinder engine. With a working volume of 3 liters, the engine weight is only 160 kg, and its dimensions are 460x690x650 mm.

The declared power of the internal combustion engine varies from 476 to 544 hp. s., and the maximum torque is 600−700 Nm. The new product will serve as the basis for the Horse 4LDHT series-parallel hybrid system, which will also include a hybrid transmission, control units and two electric motors.

One electric motor will be placed on the crankshaft of a gasoline engine, increasing torque and reducing fuel consumption, and the second (with a power of 476-612 hp) will be installed on the transmission shaft. The weight of the Horse 4LDHT electric drive will be 199 kg.

The innovative hybrid power plant will appear on production Geely cars no later than 2028.
