Haval registers MEY in Russia in Russia

“Haweil Motor Rus” applied for registration of a new MEY trademark for a car class, as well as its graphic image. From the document referred to by the Avtopotok telegram channel, it follows that the application is registered on May 28, 2025 and is valid until September 16, 2034. This is not the first brand that Haval registers in Russia lately.

Great Wall Motors sells in Russia cars under the laval stamps (manufactured at a factory in the Tula region), GWM, Wey, Ora and Tank. The HAVAL brand is responsible for crossovers, GWM – for pickups, Wey – for premium crossovers, tank – for premium SUVs, and Ora – for electric cars.

All Haval news will be all -wheel drive, and that’s why the new Haval F7 is the hero of his era new Haval H3: brutal and musical

The name Mey is consonant with Wey. It is unlikely that the company will use it, as it can confuse customers. Most likely, Haval received the rights to Mey so that other automakers could not use it. Earlier, Haval has already protected the trademarks of Raval, Oria, Tanq and Rank, which are consonant with the existing Ora and Tank. However, there are among the brands registered in Russia, and new ones – Lia, Preo, Haris and Cron.

Registering similar names is a common practice among Chinese companies that are officially represented in the Russian market. So, for example, the CHERY was received in a similar way. She “stabbed” the Jaegoo trademark (resembles Jaecoo) and registered new ones – Jaceer, Innova, Skala, Fatena, Atlantis, Fateno, Maxed and Onives. There are about two dozen of them in total.
