A video has appeared on the Internet in which Hezbollah militants used an FPV drone for the first time against an Israeli Merkava Mk3 tank. The footage demonstrates new movement tactics during the conflict in the Middle East.
Judging by the video, the drone operator discovered a combat vehicle in southern Lebanon. The drone, piloted in real time, aimed at the joint between the turret and the hull and successfully hit the weak spot.
Previously, Hezbollah used anti-tank missile systems (Russian and Iranian) against Israeli tanks. The new footage shows a shift to cheaper, more agile FPV drones that are effective in asymmetric warfare due to their price, flexibility and ability to hit weak points.
