Honda has revealed details about the new generation Prelude

The company recently confirmed that it is going to resurrect the Prelude, which was discontinued in the early 2000s. The revived model will not become an electric car, as [ожидалось](https://motor.ru/news/honda-prelude-rumors-07-11-2022.htm): it will receive a new generation e:HEV gasoline-electric powerplant and S+ Shift mode, designed to make driving more exciting. The full premiere should take place in January 2025 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

For now, the pre-production Prelude is shown in camouflage. However, it is already clear that external changes compared to the concept are minimal: on the way to the series, the sports car changed the mirror housings to larger ones and acquired sensors. The salon, which the Japanese media managed to look into, is mainly borrowed from the Civic. But there are also a few original touches, including the S+ Shift mode button. Honda also assures that the wide rear door hides a spacious trunk.

S+ Shift, which debuts on the Prelude, controls engine speed during acceleration and deceleration and adds a slight kick that simulates gear changes. On some future Honda models, it will respond to steering wheel paddle shifters. This will be echoed by the Active Sound Control system, which amplifies the sound of the internal combustion engine using speakers and is synchronized with the display of revolutions on the digital dashboard.

Honda was sued due to poor-quality paint. The “third” Honda Amaze debuted. It is cheaper than Lada Vesta 35 years old Honda NSX

The next-generation hybrid system is based on Honda’s newly developed two-liter direct-injection four running on the Atkinson cycle. It will work in tandem with two electric motors. Engineers claim that this setup is 10 percent more efficient than the current e:HEV, and at the same time more powerful.

The Prelude also promises a reinforced suspension and increased platform rigidity, improved steering, Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels. The serial sports car will go on sale in 2025.
