How the prices of popular original auto parts have changed in Russia

This question was answered at the National Agency for Industrial Information (Ped). According to Izvestia newspaper with reference to the data data, there is a trend on the market – parts from the so -called insurance basket, that is, those that are most often damaged during road accidents are expensive for foreign cars, and, on the contrary, they are cheaper for domestic machines.

Experts compared the cost of spare parts for Russian machines (LADA and UAZ) in December 2023 and in December 2024-on average, it decreased by 29.2 percent. Radiator grilles (73.7 percent, judging by the Internet aggregators) and wheels (57.7 percent), as well as rear-view mirrors, were a greater extent-by 56.1 percent. The rise in price, albeit nonsense, was noted pillows of safety and hoods – prices for them rose by 2.8 and 2.1 percent, respectively.

In the case of Chinese cars, the situation is different. The average check for spare parts for the “Chinese” grew by 12.3 percent, to 69.1 thousand rubles. So, the rear wings went up by 75.5 percent, while the front ones fell 44.7 percent. The average cost of doors increased – by 14.4-19 percent, and the radiator and wheel disks have fallen in price by 20.4 and 15.9 percent, respectively.

The most noticeable increase in prices is recorded in non-Chinese premium foreign cars. Over the year, the rise in price of spare parts for them amounted to 111.4 percent, the average price increased to 183.6 thousand rubles. The doors on average became more expensive by 190.5–246.4 percent, depending on the location, the rear wings – by 202.8 percent, the front – by 12.1 percent. The only position that began to cost less in December is the rear -view mirrors – by 13.9 percent.

In general, a chaotic pricing for spare parts is noted in the Ped, and this has been continuing since 2022. Experts surveyed by Izvestia believe that high prices for certain positions can be beneficial to scammers who “wash” money through CASCO and OSAGO.
