Hyundai Palisade is massively responding due to problems with seat belts

The South Korean company announced a large -scale review regarding 568,580 Palisade crossovers implemented in the United States from 2020 to 2025. The reason is a defect in the seat belts that record the belts poorly. This can lead to injuries in the event of an accident.

While the problem is not eliminated, Hyundai recommends to the American owners of Palisade “tightly insert a seat belt into the buckle with a quick and direct movement.” In this case, you need to pull the belt to make sure that it is securely fixed. It is also worth being more attentive in cold weather, which can also affect the mount, and listen to the click: it should not be too quiet.

According to the US National Road Safety Directorate (NHTSA), the problem may lie in the knots of buckles that are not suitable in size.

In Russia, 23 thousand Lada Niva Ford recalled hundreds of thousands of pickups. This is the 105th review for the year in Russia for the first time calling the novelty of Omoda-Cressover C7

Since November, Hyundai will begin to change the buckles from the ZF Lifetec supplier to new ones.

The investigation related to belts began back in 2023. However, the NHTSA, HYUNDAI and ZF Lifetec defect management department took more than a year to identify the root of the problem. So far, fortunately, there were no injuries.

In Russia, Hyundai was last recalled in May of this year. Then the owners were invited by the owners of almost 100 thousand Hyundai Grandeur, Genesis Coupe, Grand Santa Fe, Velosteer, i40, Solaris and Santa Fe 2010-2015 due to the risk of short circuit in the ABS block.
