A joint company Beijing Hyundai published a video from the winter tests of its first electric crossover. So far, the nameless model will receive a design uncharacteristic for other electric cars, but most likely will be built on a common platform with them. The premiere is scheduled for March 28.
The Beijing Hyundai Motor, founded in 2002, produces Hyundai models for the Chinese market. The new crossover, apparently, will be built on the “carts” of the E-GMP, which underlies large Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. General with the ninth “Ionik” may also be a power plant with a capacity of 110.3 kilowat-hours, providing up to 620 kilometers of the WLTP cycle. The top IonIQ 9 accelerates to the first “hundreds” in 5.2 seconds and is charged with a peak power of 350 kilowatts.
