The damage to the agricultural enterprise amounted to 1,400 rubles; the man stated that he did not see the crops because of the snow. This was reported by the Belarusian automobile website ABW.by.
Law enforcement officers found a video of the ride in one of the Internet chats. The offender turned out to be a 42-year-old resident of Brest, who sells cars. To advertise the new model, he turned to bloggers who helped with the filming and posted the video.
The man explained that because of the snow, he did not understand that he had driven into a sown field, and admitted his guilt. According to the Internal Affairs Directorate, his actions will be given a legal assessment.
Prior to this, the auto union proposed not to fine drivers for violating markings in snowfall. The National Automobile Union (NAU) has appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a request not to fine drivers for violating road markings during snowfalls.
“We ask the Ministry of Internal Affairs not to impose fines for violating all possible marking rules and everything related to entering the allocated lane, because often everything is hidden and it is not clear where you can enter it and where not. This greatly complicates the lives of drivers,” Shaparin noted.
