The Chinese Cars portal found out: a certificate of approval of the type of vehicle (OTTS) on the Preface of the Belarusian assembly has been issued. According to insiders, they plan to sell a novelty under the Geely brand, and soon a business sedan will appear in the Belarusian market. In Russia, since August 2024, Chinese Preface has been sold at a price of 3.36 million rubles.
Geely Preface debuted in China in the summer of 2020, but the already updated version with a unique combination of appearance and technology was brought to Russia. Probably, it is she who will recall in Belarus. In the architecture of Preface, it is similar to Geely Monjaro, Tugella and the new Atlas: the Volvo CMA platform is based.
New Geely Atlas: Design above all Geely Monjaro – missed Volvo? Geely Cityry. The effect of simple exposure
In response to the request of the Av.by portal, the Beldzhi press service refused to comment. However, the design of the OTTS means that the fact is a decision on the localization of the production of a business sedan has already been made. Currently, the version for Russia with a turbo engine 2.0 combines a 7-speed pre-sequent “robot”, although in China there are other options.
In Belarus, Geely Preface is not officially represented, and the localization at the Belji plant is clearly aimed not only in the domestic, but also at the larger Russian market. Such a move will save on the payment of utilsbor, which favorably distinguishes the model from classmates: Chery Arrizo 8 and Dongfeng Aeolus Shine Max.
